Welcome to The Cancelled Registry. This website is a satirical entertainment service that allows users to “cancel” themselves or others, submit cancellation reasons, and receive a unique Cancellation ID. Users may also purchase custom merchandise through our online store.

By accessing or using our services, including submitting cancellations, purchasing products, or browsing the site, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Nature of the Service

The Cancelled Registry is a platform for entertainment purposes only. The concept of “cancellation” on this website is entirely symbolic and non-legally binding. The site is intended for comedic, cathartic, or satirical use and should not be interpreted as factual, defamatory, or malicious in intent.

2. User Submissions and Content

By submitting a cancellation (whether for yourself or someone else), you agree to the following:

  • You confirm that the content you submit does not include hate speech, illegal material, threats, or content that violates the rights of others.
  • The cancellation reason may be humorous, dramatic, self-deprecating, or fictitious, but must not defame, harass, or target identifiable individuals in real life.
  • Submissions are anonymous by default, attached only to a unique Cancellation ID. No names or identifiable personal data are publicly visible.
  • The Cancelled Registry reserves the right to reject or remove submissions that violate these rules without notice or refund.

3. Cancellation IDs

Each cancellation is associated with a randomly generated Cancellation ID. This ID is the only means of retrieving or sharing a specific cancellation. We do not offer a search function by name, email, IP address, or other identifying detail.

Do not lose your Cancellation ID – it cannot be regenerated or retrieved once lost.

4. Gifting Cancellations

Cancellations may be purchased and “gifted” to another person in jest. It is your responsibility to ensure this is received in the humorous spirit in which it is intended. The Cancelled Registry is not liable for interpersonal fallout.

5. Right to Removal

Users who wish to remove a cancellation from the registry may do so via a formal removal request.

  • Removals are subject to an administration fee of £1 per entry.
  • Removal requests must be submitted using the contact form and accompanied by the relevant Cancellation ID.
  • Refunds will not be issued for removal requests once processed.

6. Merchandise and Custom Orders

Our online store sells custom-made items inspired by the culture and branding of The Cancelled Registry.

6.1 Customisation and Accuracy

  • Products are made to order. Please double-check all customisation fields before purchase.
  • We are not responsible for user-generated errors (e.g., typos, incorrect details).

6.2 Returns and Refunds

  • Custom items are non-returnable and non-refundable unless defective or damaged upon arrival.
  • Customers must notify us of damage or defects within 7 days of delivery via email to support@thecancelledregistry.com.
  • Non-customised items (if any) must be returned in unused, resalable condition within 14 days of receipt to be eligible for a refund.

6.3 Shipping

  • Shipping times are estimated and may vary. We are not responsible for delays due to customs, postal issues, or natural events.
  • Buyers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or import duties.

7. Refund Policy for Cancellations

Cancellations, once submitted and paid for, are non-refundable.

This applies whether you cancel yourself or someone else, regardless of the content submitted.

8. Disclaimer of Liability

The Cancelled Registry does not accept any liability for emotional, reputational, or personal consequences arising from use of the platform or sharing Cancellation IDs.

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or remove any submission that violates our policies.
  • Refuse service to users acting maliciously or in bad faith.
  • Update these terms at any time without prior notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and designs on The Cancelled Registry are the property of the site owner. No part of the site may be copied, reproduced, or repurposed without explicit permission.
